A breadth of business exposure
The Risk Management programme gives you the broadest possible exposure to the Ulster Bank Group. It’s our job to work with every individual unit and every function to get to know their business, assess potential risks and offer crucial advice on ways to protect, maintain and enhance their performance and, ultimately, the reputation and performance of the Ulster Bank Group.
A steep learning curve
We have four units, focusing on credit, enterprise, regulatory and market risk. Over the course of the two-year programme, you’ll spend time in all of them. Each placement will increase the angle of your learning curve. You’ll take on a huge variety of projects, develop your understanding of all kinds of systems and process, and develop the all-important business and personal skills that will lay the foundations for a successful career ahead.
The type of person who does well
A career in Risk means being able to slot into to many different teams, work in a consultative capacity and build solid business relationships from the word go. From an academic standpoint, a degree in a numerate discipline or a risk-related degree is preferred although not mandatory.
