Group Finance Internship

- Entry criteria - penultimate year student with at least 300 UCAS points (or equivalent) and expecting a 2:1 honours degree.

Our ten-week Summer Internship programme will provide you with an insight into a career in Finance, a pivotal part of the RBS group. You will start your journey with an intensive induction during which you will learn about RBS Finance and the RBS group. In addition, you will also network with people from around the business, including our current graduates. You will work on a community-based project, which will give the chance to work with others and help develop your team working skills whilst giving something back. After this induction week you will join your team. Your role will include all financial aspects of the business; including profit and loss analysis, balance sheet analysis, and headcount planning and forecasting.
As you learn from the business experts, you’ll develop a broad understanding of the different business areas, provide business analysis to involved parties, and learn how the management information systems work. You will also attend regular seminars on a range of finance related topics.
Throughout the programme, there is the opportunity to participate in a two–way assessment; providing us with an opportunity to get to know you, and you are given the chance to develop your understanding of our organisation to help you make future career decisions. Overall you'll gain a unique insight into our working world and the skills, knowledge and understanding required to succeeding in it.
On completion of the programme, successful candidates will be given the opportunity to be fast tracked into the Group Finance Graduate programme.
