Building for today. Planning for tomorrow
Group Property is about more than just bricks and mortar. It’s a constantly evolving part of the business that’s all about making the most of our fast-growing and increasingly international property portfolio – to create the best possible environment for our customers and of course, the people who work with us. With that in mind, you’ll understand the crucial role it has to play - both now and in the future.

Touching all four corners of the business
The work we do in Group Property supports more than 130,000 staff across the globe. As such, it involves working closely with business units across the Group to plan, develop and deliver property solutions that satisfy different customer, operational and staff needs.

Large and small. Near and far
Around the world we’re responsible for around 3,200 properties, with a combined floor space
of some 2.1 million square metres and an asset value of circa £2.2 billion. Our portfolio includes retail properties, head offices, customer service centres and data centres. And it stretches from Tokyo to Vienna and Sydney to Helsinki.

A steep learning curve
The ultimate aim of the programme is to prepare you for a position as one of our future business leaders or to place your talent right at the top of one of our property specialisms. Either way, you can expect a steep learning curve from day one. And, rest assured, the group-wide involvement will provide you with plenty of variety and plenty of challenge.

A huge variety of projects
Throughout the programme, there will be opportunities to work on a wide variety of projects, some of which could involve working overseas. You could be conducting a strategic review of our front-of-house operating model, building relationships with suppliers and senior colleagues across the business. You could be helping to integrate new properties and people into the Group. Or you could be involved in redesigning our existing buildings to make better use of the space we already have.

Who knows where it could lead?
Wherever you are in the world and whatever you’re doing, you’ll always be encouraged to bring your own knowledge and skills to bear. And you’ll never be far away from the support you need to develop them. It will be a fast-paced environment, with numerous opportunities to move between business units and broaden your understanding of our business. And with our international operations growing all the time, there may even be the chance of an overseas secondment.

What we’re looking for
We’re looking for graduates in a property-related discipline such as Construction, Electrical and Mechanical Engineering or Estate and Facilities Management, although we also consider graduates in other business-related degrees. Beyond that you’ll need to show flexibility, tenacity and be the type of person who can work confidently across many levels within an organisation.
