Year joined: 1993
University and degree: University of Strathclyde, 1st Class Honours in Industrial Relations Lynne joined the RBS Group as a Graduate in 1993. She then undertook a variety of business and HR roles in the Retail division before moving to Policy and Employment as Group Head of Diversity in 2005.
She was appointed to the role of HR Director, Group Functions in February 2006, to lead the team of HR consultants and specialists who provide support to the Directors of the ‘central functions’ areas including Risk, Legal, Strategy, Finance, Communications and HR.
In February 2009 Lynne was also given additional responsibility for providing HR support to the newly created Restructuring & Risk division. This area of the business will manage the sale or run down for our Non-core assets and businesses as part of the Group’s strategic restructuring plan.
Lynne is a member of the Institute of Personnel Development, a Fellow of the Chartered Institute if bankers in Scotland and a Fellow of the Centre for Performance-led HR at the University of Lancaster. She is married with two young children.
